About this course

Short description

In the practical course The Talent Studio the participant gets to know our metho for interdisciplinary work in VET education, and learns to work with our price winning formula of 'The Talent Studio'. Actively practicing with various forms of Design Thinking, such as the specifically designed ICE model and LEGO Serious Play, are part of this training.

This training starts with a minimum of 9 participants.

The training course The Talent Studio is eligible for funding by the Erasmus plus key action 1 (KA1 learning mobility of individuals).

Daily program

Day 1

  • Check-in with introduction
    Participants get to know each other and share their expectations regarding the two-day event
  • Tour of the talent studio
    We visit The Talent Atelier where students from different courses work in teams. We show you the rooms and you see how we apply the working method
  • Introduction to the goals of The Talent Studio
    The Talent Atelier has set seven goals. You will learn what each goal entails and why they are so important
  • Choice of topic for the challenge on day 2
    As participant you can submit a topic or problem for which they are looking for an innovative solution

Day 2

  • ICE challenge: experience how students devise and pitch interdisciplinary innovative solutions
    On this day you will experience for yourself what the ICE model can do for you and your students. We go through the phases with various working methods to arrive at an innovative solution
  • Learning Lego Serious Play by doing
    You learn how LEGO Serious Play works and what you can achieve with it when guiding processes. Together we will reflect on the impressions of the past few days with the help of Lego Serious Play
  • Final evaluation
  • Certification

Learning outcomes

After the training program The Talent Studio:

  • You have more knowledge of Interdisciplinary working in The Talent Studio and you know its 7 principels
  • You can apply the didactic model of 'The Talent Studio' in your own educational situation
  • You can actively use the 'ICE model' in your own educational environment
  • You know how to use LEGO effectively and learn what results you can achieve when guiding processes
  • You know how to reflect with the help of LEGO Serious Play, which allows you to process and share impressions in a creative way


This training program costs € 410,00 per participant (VAT free). Travel and accommodation costs are not included.

Cancellation must be reported by email (koningsacademie@kw1c.nl). The following cancellation policy applies:

  • For cancellations reported between 8 and 6 weeks before the start of the course: cancellation costs of 25% of the registration price
  • For cancellations reported between 6 and 2 weeks before the start of the course: cancellation costs of 50% of the registration price
  • For all other subsequent cancellations up to 2 weeks before the start of the course: no refund

Sufficient participants

The training programs start once there are sufficient registrations. You will be notified of the final start of the program no later than 6 weeks before the start of the training.
